Easter Weekend 2009

Most of my friends were out of town so it was just Victor and myself for most of the weekend. We spent most of our time at Spiga on Florida Road. Lot's of eye candy this weekend. While we were there we witnessed yet another Spiga Smash. A chap in a Fiat Uno smacked into a stationary Mozzie Cab. It just so happened that five 0 were passing by at the time of the accident and they were two burly female cops. One of them roughed up the Uno driver and threw him into the back of the van. Apparently he had been drinking. That was enough excitement for the evening. We did stop by Panama where a beautiful girl flashed her left tit at me.

Joe Cools was another pleasant experience on Sunday afternoon. A few drinks with a couple of friends and meeting Ryk Neetling. We had to hit Vacca after that.

Indian Premier League

Well the IPL is in Durbs and the rest of South Africa. Whoopdeefuckingdoo!

No seriously. It's going to be a blast. I already have tickets for 2 matches. Just the experience alone is going to be something else. Watching it last year made me want to be at the stadium and now it's possible. I don't even know which players are playing in the different teams. All I know is that I'm supporting the Chennai Superkings. Lol.

Morning Rain

It's raining this morning. I'm in the lounge and Mel is in the kitchen making pancakes for breakfast. I found an old Nintendo 64 online with games and I hooked it up to the plasma screen in the lounge. Mario really brings back memories of a childhood fighting over who's going to play next and waiting for my bro to "die" so I could play.

There's no wind so the rain is falling straight down. I call it pinstripe rain. The combination of the rain, Super Mario and pancakes create an intoxicating sensation of nostalgia. The yellow light flowing in from the kitchen through the breakfast nook creates a warm feeling of safety and contentment. It's going to be a nice autumn this year.
