Bleak Monday

I had a really bleak Monday yesterday! Well the whole weekend was bleak. Spurs lost at home to a really lucky Stoke! United lost to Liverpool. Was a good game though. Torres was nowhere the entire game till he scored the Scouser's first goal and then was substituted. Ngog's goal wasn't as impressive but sealed the deal, and now United has 3 defeats in a row against the Scouser's!

Yesterday started of dismally. My meeting with the stake holders had to be cancelled cos only one of them decided to pitch! How do they expect me to deliver good service if they don't commit to a monthly meeting?

Final appointment was in Pinetown so decided to bail early and cruised the Pav for a bit before hitting the gym. On my way out I met an angel that made my week! Met her at one of the IPL matches earlier this year and she agreed to go out soon. That's an investment I'm definitely going to cash in on!

So Monday started of bad but ended with a pleasant surprise.

Tottenham Win!

Yeah! Tottenham beat runners up Liverpool this weekend 2-1! What a great game for starting if this year's campaign for my favourite team! I also managed to watch the United game. They beat Burmingham 1-0 but I fell asleep after Rooney's goal!

Assou-Ekotto's goal was magnificent! Keane played well but failed to close. Was a bit disappointed by that.

All in all a good start to a great season of footie! The Premiership is left wide open!

Single Mums

Why are single mums so hot? Who in their right minds would leave a beautiful lady and a beautiful child.

Lately I seem to have been a magnet to single mums or divorcees! I seem to emanate a sensitive aura. I need to be more of an ass. I feel guilty taking advantage of them. All they want is security and I'm not one to provide that but I still seem to attract them.

With the responsibility of looking after their child on their own, a single mum still has time to hit the gym and look after herself.

Single mums rule!

What Happened Last Weekend?

Was pretty busy, but enjoyed every bit of it.

Went on a date on Friday night. The chicky took me back to her place after supper at Spiga and I made her give me a back massage. It was great. Not gonna say that I had a happy ending but was well satisfied. Met the boys at Vacca afterwards.

These clowns are crazy! When they get pissed they wanna hit on everything on two legs. I mean real dogs. I just stood back and watched the fun.

Saturday was chilled. Recharged my batteries in the morning. Took some friends out to Starlight Pops in the evening. Got seriously wasted on red wine! Nothing better to keep you warm on a cold winter's night. Ok, besides brandy.

Couldn't believe I got up early on Sunday morning to do the ECR Big Walk. Thankfully I registered for the 5Km walk. Wouldn't have managed the 10km let alone the 20km. Was fun though. Lot's of hot chicks in different get ups on the walk. Enjoyed it!

Aah! No sport for a change.

Lifting The Cup

And I don't mean drinking of any kind of beverage being alcoholic or non! But this is done when watching events were a cup is being lifted.

Two were lifted this weekend and watching both events were very inspiring. I can only imagine the feelings going through these athletes when they finally reap the rewards at the end of a long season of hardship. Two teams that had the privilege of experiencing this. One was Chelsea when they beat Everton. Everton didn't come out empty handed though. They walked away with a new record against Chelsea. The fastest goal Chelsea has ever conceded.

The other cup lifters were the Blue Bulls. Winning the Rugby Super 14. Victor Matfield's winning speech seemed short. I guess he was in a hurry to lift the trophy. At least he didn't climb the uprights like the last time. I was moved with the Chiefs captain, Mils Muliaina's speech. A nice touch at the end with the "baie dankie".

I had to PVR the end of the Super 14 final cos I had to go to a Winter Ball. Some friends laughed but it was in the aid of a charity.

I don't remember the last time I lifted my cup so many times before. I guess that could have been alcohol induced.

Till next time.

Barca Win

FC Barcelona win the Champions League Final becoming the champions of Europe.

Although I had my money on ManU, Barca was the better team and played a beautiful game. I must say that I was very impressed with Messi's goal. For a short dude he got alot of air before heading in the ball and scoring their second goal to seal the deal against ManU.

The pub I was in was choked with ManU fans and a few Barca supporters. There was this chick doing a Jagermeister promo. She looked a bit older but had the body of a pornstar. It wasn't a good night for her as most of the attention of the patrons were focused on the game.

A few of my friends were sad with the outcome but some were ecstatic. Not because they were Barca supporters but Liverpool fans. They were just happy United lost.

Enough sport for now.

Post IPL

What is there to watch on the telly now that the IPL is over?
Some people are relieved and others are left with a hole in their soul. Some can go back to their usual routine like going to gym after work, poker night, romantic dates and making supper for the family. Others are left feeling like Zombies. Wandering their homes from room to room or channel surfing without paying attention to what's on the channel they switched to.

Well we don't have long to wait for more action. Next month is the T20 World Cup. Will it be as exciting as the IPL?

We'll have to wait and see!

Dunno what the title means. You can guess or make up your own definition. What a day. I don't know if I should go to gym or not today. Yesterday was a bit busy. Maybe I should go for half an hour.

Anyway today was hectic cos I had to write an exam, I got CCed, DQed, BBCed and CNNed! Shoo! Now I need to relax in some way.

Weekend

What a weekend. We went on a team building with the office. I am still tired from all the rock climbing, abseiling and raft building. Although I go to gym regularly my muscles are still aching from all the activities!

Well hopefully this one works. We seem to be closer but the main culprits weren't present. We'll see when they get back to work. Hopefully the bossman will see what an improvement their absence has brought to the office.

Till next time

The Fake IPL Player Blogger

I just discovered this guys blog. It is so relevant to us because it's happening right here in Durban and SA. This guy is absolutely brilliant! What an opportunity he has chosen to create such a craze.

His blog whether it is true or not is absolutely entertaining and his writing skills are brilliant! It has created so much controversy amongst the tournament. Although he uses fake names you're able to figure out that the team he is blogging about is the Kolkata Knight Riders and apparently he is one of the no name players. Only chosen because of his fielding abilities and claiming he hasn't played yet and probably won't be chosen.

You can see for yourself how interesting this wrighter is http://fakeiplplayer.blogspot.com/

I'm looking forward to more of his blogs and will be sad to see the tourny end and maybe the blog as well.

Till next time

Celebrities

What is it with celebrities that draws us common folk to them? There are quite a few of the Bollywood celebs in Durban at the moment. One that stands out is Preity Zinta. She's the typical girl next door beauty. Pulling off looking great with minimal make-up and seen around town and at the stadiums in her jeans and sneakers, sporting her team shirt. The Kings XI Punjab.

Recently one of my friends got invited to a dinner at the Indian Consulate that hosted four of the teams from the IPL. Preity was a guest of honor. I wouldn't know what my reaction would be if I had to meet someone so stunning. I guess I would be really nervous and the experience would leave me weak kneed for a good few hours after that.

The IPL has a few more weeks before its conclusion in SA. Hopefully I would get the opportunity to meet some of the players and maybe Preity Zinta too!

Gym

Haven't been to the local Virgin Active in a while. It's going to be good to be back. Who am I kidding. Who wants sore muscles and fatigue three to four times a week. The last time I was there a couple of 14 year old boys looked like it was their first visit to the temple of fitness. They couldn't believe the bountiful eye candy walking around. Females of all shapes and sizes, different colours and in some cases different smells. Some good and some bad. Watching them as their eyes darted from ass to tits and back again made me wonder if me and my posse were like that when we started noticing the female form.

No matter what age a guy is, admiring a fine piece of ass in a tight fitting outfit is always good for the heart.

Let me say that's one reason I'm looking forward to going back to gym!

Easter Weekend 2009

Most of my friends were out of town so it was just Victor and myself for most of the weekend. We spent most of our time at Spiga on Florida Road. Lot's of eye candy this weekend. While we were there we witnessed yet another Spiga Smash. A chap in a Fiat Uno smacked into a stationary Mozzie Cab. It just so happened that five 0 were passing by at the time of the accident and they were two burly female cops. One of them roughed up the Uno driver and threw him into the back of the van. Apparently he had been drinking. That was enough excitement for the evening. We did stop by Panama where a beautiful girl flashed her left tit at me.

Joe Cools was another pleasant experience on Sunday afternoon. A few drinks with a couple of friends and meeting Ryk Neetling. We had to hit Vacca after that.

Indian Premier League

Well the IPL is in Durbs and the rest of South Africa. Whoopdeefuckingdoo!

No seriously. It's going to be a blast. I already have tickets for 2 matches. Just the experience alone is going to be something else. Watching it last year made me want to be at the stadium and now it's possible. I don't even know which players are playing in the different teams. All I know is that I'm supporting the Chennai Superkings. Lol.

Morning Rain

It's raining this morning. I'm in the lounge and Mel is in the kitchen making pancakes for breakfast. I found an old Nintendo 64 online with games and I hooked it up to the plasma screen in the lounge. Mario really brings back memories of a childhood fighting over who's going to play next and waiting for my bro to "die" so I could play.

There's no wind so the rain is falling straight down. I call it pinstripe rain. The combination of the rain, Super Mario and pancakes create an intoxicating sensation of nostalgia. The yellow light flowing in from the kitchen through the breakfast nook creates a warm feeling of safety and contentment. It's going to be a nice autumn this year.
